How to Install Acoustic Slat Wall Hooks

A well-fitted hook keeps everyday accessories close at hand. Start by checking the mounting design of your particular model.

Before you start

Measure the gap between the slats, slat width and depth. Compare them with your product instructions. Panel profiles vary, so a hook is not automatically compatible with every acoustic panel. The panel itself must be securely fixed.

Fit the hook

  1. Choose the position. Leave enough room for the item you want to hang and for the hook to turn during installation.
  2. Align the rear fitting. For a slide-and-turn model such as SX-135, place the concealed rear fitting into the compatible slat gap.
  3. Slide and turn. Slide the fitting to the left, then rotate clockwise until the hook is upright and its back sits against the panel. Stop if it binds; do not force it.
  4. Check the fit. Gently pull and check for slipping or unwanted rotation before hanging anything.

These movements apply to the slide-and-turn design. If your hook has a different fitting, follow its supplied instructions instead.

Use and removal

Begin with a light item and stay within the limit stated for your model and panel. If no load limit is supplied, contact us before hanging heavier items. Recheck the fit after repositioning.

To remove the SX-135 style fitting, take off the item first, support the hook, rotate counterclockwise and slide it to the right before withdrawing it.
