A small shelf adds useful space to an acoustic slat wall. Check which mounting system your shelf uses before you begin.
Check your panel and parts
Compare the slat gap, width, depth and profile with the product instructions. Confirm that the panel is securely fixed and that all supplied mounting parts are present. Compatibility and load limits depend on the exact model.
Fit a rotating shelf
- Choose a clear position. Allow room to rotate the empty shelf without hitting nearby objects.
- Insert the rear fitting. For a rotating model such as SX-176, align the concealed mounting with the compatible slat gap.
- Rotate into place. Support the shelf and turn clockwise until the tray is horizontal and the back sits against the panel. Do not force a tight fitting.
- Check level and stability. The shelf should not slide down or rotate freely. Remove and recheck the fit if it moves.
If your shelf uses separate clips
Follow the supplied clip positions and mounting sequence. For a design with threaded posts and round locking caps, fit the clips at the same height, align the shelf holes with the posts, then tighten the caps clockwise by hand. Avoid overtightening. Do not rotate the entire shelf as described above.
Arrange items and remove the shelf
Add light items gradually, distribute weight evenly and keep heavier items close to the wall. Stay within the model-specific limit and recheck the mounting after moving items.
Empty an SX-176 style rotating shelf before removal. Support it, turn counterclockwise back to the vertical insertion position, then withdraw the fitting.
